A British teenager was arrested for the leak.

Last week, a massive hack of video game developer and publisher Rockstar resulted in a leak of the development build of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6. This leak came in the form of multiple hours of dev build footage circulated through various social media platforms. Since the leak occurred, authorities have been conducting an investigation into the one who conducted it, and over the weekend, their secured a suspect.

The suspect, known only as “A.K.,” was arrested last Thursday by local police in the British county of Oxfordshire. This individual, confirmed to only be 17 years old, is under suspicion of both the Rockstar leak and a separate hack conducted on ridesharing company Uber. This individual was also responsible for hacks targeting Microsoft and Nvidia earlier this year, for which he was also arrested.

“The City of London Police arrested a 17-year-old in Oxfordshire on Thursday (September 22) on suspicion of hacking, as part of an investigation supported by the National Crime Agency’s National Cyber Crime Unit. He has been charged in connection with this investigation and remains in police custody,” City of London Police said in a statement.

“The teenager has been charged with two counts of breach of bail conditions and two counts of computer misuse.”

A.K. has made one appearance in court for the leak as of writing, but no sentencing has yet been decided upon.
