Marjorie Taylor Greene surprised everyone with her reaction to Nancy Pelosi’s retirement from Congress. The Georgia congresswoman, popular for her strong and blunt opinions, shared unexpected praise for the former House Speaker during an interview on CNN with Wolf Blitzer.

“I will praise Nancy Pelosi. She had an incredible career for her party,” Greene said while talking about the 85-year-old Democrat. She mentioned that she served under Pelosi during her first term in Congress and was impressed by how well Pelosi managed to keep her party united and achieve results.

“I wish we could get things done for our party like Nancy Pelosi was able to deliver for hers,” Greene added. “I wish her well in her retirement, but I do think people should leave Washington earlier instead of waiting until their eighties.”

Pelosi announced her decision not to seek reelection through a heartfelt video message. In it, she reflected on her long political career and thanked the people of San Francisco for their support. “My message to the city I love is this: San Francisco, know your power. We have made history. We have made progress. We have always led the way,” she said.

Greene’s remarks came as a surprise to many, including CNN viewers, since she rarely compliments Democratic leaders. Her comments also followed her appearance on The View, where she called for less fighting between political parties. It seems she is trying to take a softer tone in her public image, showing a side of her that people did not expect to see.
