“Steven Universe Future, here we are!”

After five seasons and a movie, the emotional roller coaster that is Steven Universe is soon coming to an end. This coming Saturday, December 7th, will see the premiere of the show’s sixth and final season, titled Steven Universe Future, since it takes place a few years after the rest of the show and right after the movie.

Despite a filler-heavy first season and a fanbase of… occasionally questionable quality, Steven Universe is definitely one of my favorite animated shows of this decade. It’s got some great gags and action bits, yeah, but the powerful emotional moments, life lessons, and catchy songs are what really stole my heart. After the majority of the episodes, I would sigh, smile, and say “that was nice, I liked that.” If I ever didn’t, it was usually because it was a cliffhanger and I wanted more. But I digress.

Steven’s family and friends, the Crystal Gems, are definitely some of the more interesting characters to come out of animated television in recent memory. Answer a few questions for us, and we’ll see which one you’re closest to.
