The End of an Era!
Taylor Swift, the globally renowned singer-songwriter, took a reflective moment during her Eras Tour stop in Liverpool on Thursday to announce the official end of her record-breaking tour. This significant announcement was made during the tour’s 100th show, a milestone celebrated with her devoted fans.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Swift shared,
Swift, who has continually added dates to the tour over the past year, reflected on the journey. “That feels like so far away from now. But then again, it feels like I just did my first show on this tour, because you guys have made this so much fun for us that we wanted to do 100 shows, 150-something shows,” she continued.
The 14-time Grammy winner expressed how the tour has become her entire life, saying, “I don’t remember my hobbies anymore because all I do when I’m not on stage is just like sit at home and try to think of some clever acoustic song mashups and thinking about what you might like to hear.”
Swift expressed heartfelt gratitude to her fans for their dedication. “I want to spend another show just thinking about that and living in this moment with you and being here with you and just know that I appreciate every single ounce of effort you put in to be with us when this tour reaches triple digits of shows. So thank you.” She then performed the fan-favorite “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” and engaged the audience, asking if they had 10 minutes to spare.
Following the Liverpool shows, Swift is set to perform in Cardiff and several dates in London. The Eras Tour, which began on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona, will have covered five continents and 152 shows when it concludes on December 8, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada.
