The CNN anchor revealed on Tuesday that he tested positive for coronavirus.

The 49-year-old journalist has since quarantined himself in the basement of his home to protect the rest of his family and continues to work from there. On Twitter, he shared that his symptoms included fever, chills and shortness of breath.

However, the CNN anchor vented on his SiriusXM radio show the day before saying he no longer saw the point of his primetime position and that he’d trade it all for freedom. Cuomo went off on a long list of grievances about his on-air gig.

“I don’t want to spend my time doing things that I don’t think are valuable enough to me personally, “ Cuomo said. “Like what? Well, I don’t like what I do professionally, I’ve decided.”

Cuomo said contracting the virus made him rethink his job as host of one of CNN’s top prime time shows. The CNN anchor also went on to say that he was done analyzing President Trump

But come Tuesday, Cuomo clarified his comments and said that he will be sticking with his job. Instead he will question whether his work is making a difference. He devoted a segment on his radio show to explain what he meant by his previous comments and went on to say that he had “never been in a better position professionally” than right now. Cuomo also revealed that he signed a long-term contract with CNN.

“I love where I am. I love the position that I’ve been given. And I love who I’m doing it with,” Cuomo said.
