Chicago Fire actor Jake Lockett and Dominique Domingo, who is popular for her role in The Accountant 2, disclosed that they tied the knot on June 18 in Hawaii.
They told People that their parents saw each other for the very first time that week. The ceremony was small, and it took place in a private cove near Kalihiwai Falls, Hawaii. The venue was surrounded by trees, flowers, and greenery. Everyone dressed in soft, natural colors according to the beautiful setting.
“We both felt like anything bigger than our immediate family wouldn’t allow us to focus on each other as much on our day,” Lockett said. “So, keeping it small and simple was imperative.”
“There was no need for added décor because Mother Nature handled it all,” she added. “We wanted the vibe to be serene, intimate and peaceful and that’s exactly what it was.”
The beautiful couple who first saw each other at a commercial audition wrote their own vows and showed their love and connection with elements of water and earth. Those elements were used to reflect “purifying and unifying.”
The couple also enjoyed the time with their loved ones during the days they all spent together in Hawaii.
“Our families had never met, so making sure we had time to commune together was important to us,” Lockett told the magazine. “Cooking meals together, sitting and watching our favorite funny movies together, hanging in the water and learning about each other, all those things helped to make the family aspect that much more special.”
