Hollywood’s Bleeding featuring influential collabs, blending of genres, and incredible lyrics
Post Malone released his third studio album, Hollywood’s Bleeding over the weekend. The album combines all the aspects that fans love about his music; the opulent and lavish lifestyle Posty lives and listeners dream of and pregame to, and the more emotionally-tattered and wounded lyrics of heartbreak and confusion his listeners can relate to.
His signature blending of rap, pop, and rock genres is felt throughout, and the surprisingly introspective lyrics fans expect from Post Malone make it the perfect album to match any mood.
The third album is able to blend genres and sounds so beautifully in part due to the incredible collaborations, including new recordings from the infamous Ozzy Osbourne. Other features include Travis Scott, Swae Lee (who has worked with Post Malone previously), Young Thug, SZA, Future, Halsey, and Meek Mill.
The new record comes after the global success of his second album beerbongs & bentleys and in the midst of his Runaway tour. It follows the release of four singles, “Wow”, “Goodbyes”, “Circles”, and “Sunflower” which was featured in the box-office hit Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
The release of a new album seems like the perfect way to solidify himself as a game-shaking vocalist. In 2018 he was nominated for Artist Of The Year by the American Music Award, received multiple nominations for his first album Stoney and for singles “Rockstar”, which won Top Rock Song from the Billboard Music Award and Song of the year from the MTV VMA’s and “Congratulations”.
In 2019 he was again nominated for multiple awards by Billboard, as well as his second album and single “Better Now” and received four Grammy nominations. His singles this summer have already been nominated for multiple awards, and it is no doubt the album will gain some as well, as it is already charting on Apple iTunes.
