Expecto parento!
Harry Potter star Rupert Grint, best known for his role as Ron Weasley in the live-action movies, is expecting his very first child.
The 31-year-old actor and his longtime girlfriend, Georgia Groome, 28, confirmed their pregnancy last week. A representative for the British coupe told USA Today that they are “excited” and “ask for privacy at this time.”
While Grint is best known for his role in the Harry Potter movie franchise that spanned from 2001 to 2011, Groome is best known for starring in the 2008 film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.
The couple have been together since 2011, but have kept a low profile on their dating relationship and remain out of the spotlight for the most part. The two did spark marriage rumors after they were pictured wearing “matching rings,” but Grint’s spokesperson denied the rumor.

Grint has been vocal in the past about wanting to settle down and start a family. He most recently mentioned this desire for The Guardian’s “This Much I Know” series.
“I’d like to settle down and have kids soon,” Grint said having just turned 30. “If I had a son, would I call him Ron? It’s quite a good name, but probably not. And Grint’s a tough name to pair a one-syllable first name with.”
Congratulations to the happy couple! Everyone is looking forward to finding out whether Grint and Groome will be having a boy or a girl.
