Tom Holland has been hospitalized after suffering an injury while performing a stunt on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
According to reports, Holland suffered a mild concussion when he fell during a stunt sequence. Luckily, doctors treated him quickly and discharged him the same day. No one else on set was hurt, and fans can relax knowing the incident wasn’t too serious.
Still, Holland will be taking a short break from filming as a safety measure. Production on Brand New Day began last month in Glasgow, and while production will pause briefly, insiders say it won’t cause any major delays.
Just before the accident, Sony had released a behind-the-scenes video where Holland shared his excitement about starting the new Spider-Man trilogy.
“It’s day one. My fourth ever day one on Spider-Man,” he shared. “Putting the suit on feels different this time. It’s also the first time we’ve ever had fans on set for day one, so it’s really exciting to share this with them.”
Most people know that it’s not the first time Holland has faced injuries while working. Back in his theater days with Billy Elliot: The Musical, he was nicknamed “Sick Note” because of his frequent illnesses and injuries. But now, Holland is popular for handling the tough physical challenges of his roles.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is bringing back Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned. However, after the events of No Way Home, their characters no longer remember Peter Parker.
The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on July 31, 2026.
