The Hollywood couple are prepared to walk this season together, hardships and all.

Will Smith has said it time and time again: “Divorce can’t be an option.”  The actor went on to say in an MTV News interview back in 2006 that he and Jada Pinkett Smith “’[S]tood up in front of God and said, ‘Til death do us part.’”

In a 2018 episode of Jada’s popular Facebook Watch series “Red Table Talk,” the actress turned talk show host said that she and Will were going to be “under the same roof,” and that “there was no reason” to ever divorce.

But when it comes to “entanglements,” the situation has become a little sticky. On the July 10 episode of “Red Table Talk,” Jada confirmed that she had had a relationship with August Alsina, a 27-year-old singer-songwriter, and denied that Will condoned it. She went on to explain that the two had allegedly been separated at the time.

On the episode where she and Will discussed the situation and speculation, Jada referred to her relationship with Alsina as an “entanglement.” She said that “It all started with him just needing some help.” Jada shared that she wanted to help his mental state, and because this took place during a time she and Will were going to separate for a period of time, her friendship with Alsina took a different turn.

But despite the obstacles and cracks in their union, Jada and Will agreed that they weren’t at a true breaking point, and that she never thought to see a divorce lawyer.
