Yes, National Tequila Day is actually a holiday.
July 24 marks an annually celebrated, yet lesser-known holiday called Tequila Day. Even if you’ve never heard of this holiday before, why not celebrate with a glass of your favorite agave spirit or crafted cocktail?
Think there isn’t much to celebrate? On the contrary, there is a lot to celebrate, and this is just the goofy holiday we need right now. Bars may remain shuttered, but that doesn’t mean you can’t observe the day at home, socially distanced from other tequila enthusiasts. If you and your family will celebrate at home, you simply can’t go wrong with a classic margarita. There are hundreds of ways to make the classic Mexican drink, but the most basic of recipes is tequila, triple sec, lime juice, sugar, and ice. For the perfect touch, cover the rim in salt and add a slice of lime for garnishing.

There are also lots of other drink options to stock your home bar with for the special day, and these are actually the “chill and crack open” kind to add a little extra convenience. The Volley Tequila Seltzer is a 100 percent agave tequila mixed with sparkling water and organic juice in a can. Cutwater Tequila Soda is another great canned option inspired by the southwestern cocktail known as Ranch Water.
Whatever your got to drink is, celebrate with Happy Hour.
