Finally, the crazy female villain has her own show!

Harley Quinn is an American adult animated web television series based on the character with the same name that was created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm. Harley— an acrobatic Arkham psychiatrist turned girlfriend and accomplice to the Joker— has proven to be one of the most successful characters in the Batman comics.

The character appeared on the big screen for the first time in 2016’s Suicide Squad, but DC Universe has given her— and fans— what she finally deserves: her own animated series.

The first season will consist of 13 episodes, and the first episode that debuted was titled “Harley and Ivy.” The episode starts with Harley, who is dressed in her classic Batman: The Animated Series costume being abused by the Joker and ending up in Arkham for a year after the Joker leaves her behind to be captured and turned in by the Batman. Ivy eventually breaks herself and Harley out, and the girls end up in an apartment together. Harley then changes her look to be more in line with her Suicide Squad outfit, and vows to become her own person and earn herself a spot above the Joker as one of the greatest villains.

Harley Quinn is currently three episodes in, and reactions from fans have been very positive. The series is currently available for streaming on DC Universe, with new episodes releasing every Friday.
