In a recent interview with Variety, actress Joey King addressed her ex-boyfriend Jacob Elordi’s comments regarding the Netflix rom-com trilogy, “The Kissing Booth.” The 24-year-old actress, who dated Elordi from 2017 to 2019, expressed her perspective on the films, stating, “I had a great time making those movies no matter what anyone says.”

King, who has previously voiced her pride in the films, reiterated her positive experience during the production. In a 2022 interview with The Independent, she stated, “I couldn’t be prouder of those movies.”

Jacob Elordi, known for his role in “Euphoria,” had shared his less-than-favorable memories of working on “The Kissing Booth” franchise in a recent GQ interview. He described the movies as “ridiculous” and criticized Hollywood’s “one for them, one for me” ethos, calling it a “trap.”

Responding to Elordi’s criticism, King expressed her disappointment, describing it as “unfortunate” that he felt that way. She emphasized her positive experience making the films and her pride in being a part of the project.

Fellow “Kissing Booth” actor Taylor Zakhar Perez also weighed in, expressing his disagreement with Elordi’s perspective. Perez, known for his role in “Red, White & Royal Blue,” shared that the movies served as an escape, especially during challenging times, and expressed the impact they had on fans.

Despite Elordi’s critical remarks, he expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the films, stating, “I’m incredibly grateful to everybody in it.”
