“People should have fun with wine. A bottle should sit in your dinner table like all of the other condiments.” – Andre Hueston Mack.

Get ready for your new favorite Netflix series because this one will explore the world of becoming a master sommelier.

Titled Uncorked, main character Elijah dreams of becoming a master sommelier, however, he is expected to carry on a tradition and run his family’s Memphis barbecue restaurant once his parents are ready to pass it down.

The overall plot will center around one man’s conflicting dreams of becoming a sommelier and living up to family expectations. The trailer that was recently released shows Elijah balancing his sommelier studies with his responsibilities at the restaurant. Just before the trailer ends, we see Elijah in Paris ready to sit down for the sommelier exam, but we never know what happens from there.

That’s where cuddling up on the couch with a nice glass of red or white wine comes in.

Uncorked will be released on Netflix on March 27, so be sure to add it to your list of binge worthy shows.

A sommelier, or wine steward, is a trained and knowledgeable wine professional who specializes in all aspects of wine service from wine and food pairing to identifying a wine based on taste and smell alone. But they are not just wine experts; a sommelier may have a deep knowledge of other aspects of restaurant offerings such as beer, spirits, soft-drinks, cocktails, mineral waters and tobaccos.
