Nothing rings in the holidays quite like the scent and cooling taste of mint.

Take Starbucks Peppermint Mocha for instance; it’s a holiday staple and is a warm and refreshing drink to consume during the cold winter months.

Even though it’s not even Christmas yet, lots and lots of people are already feeling merry and bright. So are grocery stores apparently because it has recently been reported that shelves are filling up with all the best seasonal goodies, like Oreo candy canes, Pepperidge Farm’s toy soldier cookies and even Reese’s cookie skillet kits.

But probably the most exciting holiday treat that will come tumbling down the chimney is Hostess’ “li-mint-ed” edition of Mint Chocolate Twinkies!

The new Twinkies feature a creamy mint filling and a chocolate cake shell. Every box comes with 10 individually wrapped cakes, so you can share or enjoy the box all on your own (but be careful about being naughty and consuming all those delicious cakes, otherwise Santa will bring you coal for Christmas).

Hostess Mint Chocolate Twinkies are already being sold nationwide, but they will only be available through Dec. 26 or while supplies last.

Walmart is already selling the sweet cakes – they’ve already got the Twinkies listed on their website. A box is selling for about $3-$4. Walmart’s website also lists Peppermint Twinkies, though they’re not available yet.
