YouTube star MrBeast, known for his expansive channel with over 300 million subscribers, has announced he has hired investigators to probe serious allegations against his former co-host, Ava Kris Tyson. Tyson, who had been associated with MrBeast’s channel since 2012, is facing accusations of grooming a teenager, with claims surfacing online last month.
Tyson, aged 28, has strongly denied the allegations, asserting that the interactions were consensual and that she did not engage in grooming. Despite this, Tyson has agreed to step down from her role, stating that the decision to leave was mutually agreed upon.
In response to the allegations, MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, expressed his disgust and disapproval. “I am disgusted and opposed to such unacceptable acts,” MrBeast said. He revealed that he had recently become aware of the allegations and emphasized his commitment to a thorough investigation to uncover all the facts.
MrBeast’s statement confirmed that Tyson has been removed from all affiliations with his channel and company. “I do not condone or support any of the inappropriate actions,” MrBeast added. He indicated that further actions would be determined based on the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
Tyson has previously apologized for her “past behavior,” acknowledging that some of her old humor was “not acceptable.” She has maintained that she never engaged in grooming and criticized the portrayal of her actions as exaggerated and misleading.
In a recent update, the individual who allegedly received the messages from Tyson defended her, claiming that the descriptions of their relationship were inaccurate and that the interactions were simply “edgy jokes” with no exploitation involved.
