This is a festival your abuelo and abuela would be proud to go to.

The Cuban sandwich is one of the many delicious culinary creations in the Latin food genre, and if you love to eat them, you’ll be able to satisfy that craving very soon.

Tampa is hosting a huge Cuban sandwich festival in March. The 9th Annual International Cuban Sandwich Festival will be taking over Centennial Park in Ybor City on March 29, 2020, and will feature tons of food vendors, activities, live music, and dance performances. From 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., three streets will be closed to create three different entertainment areas.

Performances will be given by Grammy-nominated Orchestra Fuego, Revelacion Salsera, Cukiara, Extreme Dance School, and other bands and artists.

The festival also features an international competition where cooks from all over the world to compete to see who makes the best Cuban sandwich. This year, the festival will see competitors from South Korea, England, and France. The festival will also attempt to create a 190-foot delicious Cubano to break the Kissimmee record.

The event itself is free to any who are interested, though there are VIP tickets available for $50. VIP ticket holders will get unlimited sandwich samples from some of the best cooks and will be able to vote in the competition.
