Your new favorite slogan for the new year will be “fries before guys.”

That’s because on Valentine’s Day Weekend, Florida is having a massive French fry festival in St. Petersburg. The 4th annual festival will be held on Friday, Feb. 14 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 15 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at North Straub Park in St. Pete, which is just a half-hour away from Tampa. The event is also free.

The event is being hosted by the Gulf to Bay Food Truck Association, and participating food trucks include Asian Variety, Cajun Cuisine Food, I Wanna Wok, Casablanca Fusion, Fiesta Bowls and Wings n Things.

It’s a french fry festival, so obviously most foods available will be fries, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be other varieties of foods. Vendors will also sell items from their regular menu.

DJ Paul Cook will be providing live entertainment on Friday while the Screamin’ Donkeys will take care of the music on Saturday. The festival will also offer alcoholic beverages for those who enjoy a little bit of a buzz with their French fries. Better yet, the event is also pet friendly, so even your furry four-legged best friend can get in on the tasty foods.
