Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Taylor Swift will not be making an appearance in the upcoming film Deadpool and Wolverine, dispelling rumors that have circulated online in recent months.

The speculation arose after Swift was spotted alongside Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy at a Kansas City Chiefs NFL game last October. However, Entertainment Weekly has learned exclusively that Swift’s presence at the game was unrelated to any involvement in the film.

Despite fans’ hopes and rumors suggesting Swift might portray the comic book character Dazzler, the pop superstar will not be gracing the screen in the MCU era.

In response to the persistent rumors, Levy stated, “As much as we love each other, the fear of death is so intense in me regarding Ryan and how he desperately wants to avoid talking about all of these proliferating rumors.”

Ryan Reynolds also addressed the speculation, teasing, “Movies like this, there’s so much speculation about so many people that might end up in the film. Surprises are the essence of Deadpool.”
