A Russian warship was destroyed in Berdyansk.
Videos have begun to surface on social media platforms of multiple explosions breaking out around a port in the Ukrainian city of Berdyansk, which is currently under occupation by the Russian military. One of these videos showed a large Russian landing ship, which was docked at the port, engulfed in powerful explosions.
This vessel has been identified as the Russian warship Orsk, which had been unloading military-grade equipment alongside several other vessels over the last few days. The Ukrainian armed forces have taken credit for the Orsk’s destruction, along with severely damaging the other ships.
“A 3,000-ton fuel tank was also destroyed. The fire spread to the enemy’s ammunition depot. Details of the damage inflicted on the occupier are being clarified,” they said in a Facebook post.

The precise weapon utilized by the Ukrainian armed forces to destroy the Orsk has not been divulged, nor has the means by which they were able to deploy it. Regardless, the destruction of the Orsk and severe damage to the other vessels and storage depots is a major blow to the Russian presence in Berdyansk, which has been in control of the city since February 27.
