“Nothing, Forever” randomly generates Seinfeld-like situations infinitely.

Artificial intelligence-created content has become a prominent, if controversial element of content creation over the past year, with AI algorithms successfully creating art, comics, animation, and more. As the AI interest blooms outward, the creatively-minded have begun putting the technology toward more amusing purposes, such as duplicating classic TV sitcoms.

A small media company called Mismatch Media launched a Twitch channel back in December titled @watchmeforever, with an appearance like an old TV guide. This channel plays a single show infinitely: Nothing, Forever. Nothing, Forever utilizes legally-distinct models of the characters from classic sitcom Seinfeld alongside AI-generated movement and dialogue to create constantly-shifting sitcom situations. There is no direct input from Mismatch Media, the entire process runs completely autonomously.

“Nothing, Forever is a show about nothing, that happens forever,” the description of the show on Twitch reads. “Kinda like popular sitcoms of the past, except that it never stops.”

Despite its mildly uncanny nature, @watchmeforever has become a Twitch sensation in the past week, with a follower count of 98.8 thousand at the time of writing. The livestream regularly draws viewers in the tens of thousands, many of whom will chat regularly during the show.
