Ring Nation will be a showcase of viral videos captured by doorbell cameras.

Ring doorbell cameras are commonly used around the United States as a means of either greeting guests at the door or monitoring for criminal or suspicious activity. However, in recent years, doorbell cameras have also become a source of viral videos, with people capturing things like strange delivery people or silly pets and uploading them online. Using that popularity as a framework, Amazon Studios is planning on creating a new show with captured Ring footage.

The show, titled Ring Nation, will feature a variety of clips submitted by Ring owners in an America’s Funniest Home Videos-style showcase. According to a Deadline report on the show, the videos include events like “neighbors saving neighbors, marriage proposals, military reunions and silly animals.”

The show will be hosted by actor and comedian Wanda Sykes, fresh off her starring role in Netflix’s The Upshaws. “Wanda Sykes is one of the biggest names in comedy and beloved by fans across the globe. We are thrilled she has signed on to host this fun new take on a tried-and-true format,” said Barry Poznick, president of alternative television & Orion TV at MGM. “From the incredible, to the hilarious and uplifting must-see viral moments from around the country every day, Ring Nation offers something for everyone watching at home.”

“Bringing the new community together is core to our mission at Ring, and Ring Nation gives friends and family a fun new way to enjoy time with one another,” added executive producer Jamie Siminoff. “We’re so excited to have Wanda Sykes join Ring Nation to share people’s memorable moments with viewers.”

Ring Nation is slated to premiere on September 27.
