Gamers are really into the iPod Touch apparently
Apple has refreshed its iPod Touch with a faster processor, greater storage, and better communication features. This is, of course, great news for mobile gamers! Three models are available depending on the GB size that you are looking for. It comes in 32, 128, and 256 GB. The prices will vary from $199 to $399 depending on the size of the memory.
Google has also added persistent AR along with image detection. 3D objects can now be brought to life on the screen. The plan is to upgrade to an Arcade in the fall that will introduce 100 new games. Apple has fallen behind a bit in the gaming industry as compared to Microsoft, Facebook, Google, and Amazon.
This device is also perfect for parents who do not want to give their kids an iPhone with the fear of all the social media outlets available to them. The iPod Touch allows their kids to play popular games without digging into social media. This alternative gives parents the comfort of knowing they have purchased just a gaming and music device.
iPod purchases have been down considerably lately with the popularity of iPhones and Android devices. The hope is that with the increased memory and tremendous access to music and videos that this could help regenerate its popularity. This potentially could be the last of the iPods if this last gasp effort to rejuvenate it doesn’t work.
