The Hollywood Walk of Fame in Hollywood, California commemorates some of the biggest names in showbusiness with custom stars lining the famous sidewalk. To receive a Walk of Fame star is to have your name cemented in the history of television and film, and the latest entrant to the prestigious sidewalk is none other than Courteney Cox.

Cox, best known for her role in the hit sitcom Friends, received her own star on the Walk of Fame this week. Her former co-stars on Friends, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow, joined her at the award ceremony to celebrate the achievement.

“To be friends with Courteney is to be family with Courteney, and she is responsible for all of that from the beginning,” Aniston said. “When we met her she was immediately inclusive, warm, loving, interested in everything about you and you know I was really nervous to meet her because I was a huge fan.”

Kudro added that Cox “really set us up to become one of the closest, most loving and supportive casts in, I’ll say, the history of television.”

Cox shares her friends’ views, having recently told Variety in an interview that her time on the show “taught me the importance of camaraderie and really sticking together.”

“These friendships were at the most important time in my life, and we went through so many things together,” she said. “And it just taught me about being there for each other — I know, that’s the song: ‘I’ll be there for you.’ But it’s true.”
