Kendall Jenner is being ripped apart in the media and by fans, once again, for wearing cornrows.
The 23-year-old model and reality TV star of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” was recently photographed wearing cornrows in her hair while she was in Los Angeles. She was also seen wearing the style the next day in both of hers and her sister Kylie’s Instagram stories.
The hairstyle is typically tied to black culture, and one user responded to Kendall wearing it by saying: “I’m EXHAUSTED of white people constantly appropriating black culture and wearing hairstyles that we are always ridiculed/ chastised for having and just doing it because they want to ‘look different’ or ‘stand out,’ We wear these hairstyles to PROTECT our natural hair from damages but they wanna wear it because it looks cool. It shouldn’t be worn by them period.”
This isn’t the first time that Kendall or equally famous members of her family have been spotted in cornrows, and it’s not their first time facing backlash for doing so.
