2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home was a pretty great movie, definitely worth one or two extra viewings if you’re a big Marvel fan. However, one man in Florida loved the movie so much, he was willing to watch it 292 times, both for its own sake and to retake a Guinness World Record.

Back in 2019, Florida resident Ramiro Alanis set a world record for most cinema productions attended of the same film by watching Avengers: Endgame 191 times. This record was broken by Arnaud Klein in 2021 with 204 viewings of Kaamelott: First Installment. To retake his title, Alanis rewatched Spider-Man: No Way Home 292 times between December 2021 and March 2022. That’s a combined runtime of 720 hours, or about 30 days. To clarify, these viewings didn’t have to run back-to-back, but Alanis did have to be completely engaged with the movie for the entire time; no bathroom breaks, no checking his phone, nothing.

Alanis went above and beyond to reset the record in an effort to ensure he holds it for as long as possible. “If anyone tries to break my record again, I want them to think twice before attempting it,” he told Guinness World Records.
