We really do not deserve dogs!

A stray dog in Canada has instantly become America’s most adoptable pupper after being found cuddling five kittens that were abandoned in the snow.

The Pet and Wildlife rescue in Chatham-Kent, Ontario posted photos of the furry family on Facebook after they were brought in to the center and cared for. Even at the shelter, the stray dog kept her “babies” safe and warm, and people have been flooding their comments section with lots of love and warm-hearted posts.

The dog, who has since been given the same Serenity, was found one very cold night in Ontario last weekend on the side of the road where she curled herself around the orphaned black kittens to keep them warm.

The shelter said that someone spotted the animals and called in animal control who sent out an officer to bring all six of them in.

Since being brought into the shelter, the kittens have all been taken in by a foster family and will be put up for adoption once they are old enough to be on their own. As for Serenity, who is estimated to be about 2-years-old, a lot of adoption applications have been submitted. Once she is spayed next month, she will be ready to find her fur-ever home.
