Hold up—did Candace Cameron Bure just say horror movies are a portal to demons? Yup, you heard that right, and to be honest… we’re also shook!

“In our house, as a mom, I feel like you guys make fun of me when I talk about — they make fun of me all the time — but particularly when I’m serious about a spiritual thing happening, and then they’re rolling their eyes at me. Like the portal,” Candace Cameron claimed in a recent podcast.

She said her kids (Natasha, Lev, and Maksim) and her husband Val Bure roll their eyes when she comments on the portal and paranormal activity at home.

The former Full House star explained, “Like if you’re watching this, or you’re playing this video game, or whatever, that’s a portal that could let stuff inside our home.“ “I don’t even want someone watching a scary movie in our house on the TV, because to me, that’s just a portal,” she stated.

Explaining why she felt supernatural about scary movies, she said, “I work in the film industry, and I understand how this industry all works. I know that movie has a crew of 200 people, and they’re lighting it, and they’re adding the sound effects, and it’s makeup, and the camera, people, and actors; however, there’s still something that can be incredibly demonic while they’ve made it.”

Bure embraced Christianity when she was 16, and since then she has always been open about her strong faith. She also had been in hot water due to her views on LGBTQ rights, but she remained honest about her views on the podcast. Moreover, she worried about buying items with names that give the same feelings, just like scary movies, such as the Liquid Death Water.

“That just reminded me like, you posted something a while back about Liquid Death,” she told Pokluda. “You’re like, ‘Do you want to buy a product that is literally being cursed as it’s going out into distribution?'”

If you’re someone who shares Candace Cameron Bure’s concerns about TV and its spiritual impact, don’t worry: her next movie, “Home Sweet Christmas Wedding”, is completely scare-free.
