Known for its outlandish outfits and incredible musical performance, the VMAs have come to represent pop culture in its own unique way. The event has seen wardrobe malfunctions, celebrity make-outs, award snatching, and political performances. For 2019, all eyes will be on Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, who have each received 10 nominations.
Among the other top nominees include Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X, the Jonas Brothers, Cardi B, and Drake. Eilish received nine nominations for her accomplishments over the year, including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Best New Artist. MTV has also created two new categories, including K-Pop and video for good, where Halsey, The Killers, John Legend, Lil Dicky, Taylor Swift, and Jamie N Commons collaboration have all been nominated.
