Experience a Magical Wintertime in Florida With the NightGarden

It ain’t a White Christmas, but it’s still pretty magical.

Florida is called the Sunshine State for a reason; it’s pretty much hot year-round and when it is Winter, the state basically gets one or two days of cold weather before it goes back to being hot again.

But that doesn’t mean residents of the Panhandle don’t know how to have a good time in Winter. In fact, what the State lacks in weather, it makes up in fun events and attractions.

One of the most anticipated events of the year is The NightGarden, which is held at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables. Located on Biscayne Bay right near the water, the botanical garden is a treasure that is already a gem to visit during the daytime year-round. It features one of the most creative and visually spectacular nature exhibits in the state.

But when the Winter season rolls into town, there is another reason to visit this botanical garden at night.

The NightGarden is a family-friendly event that illuminates parts of the botanical garden with color, creativity and interactive exhibits. The gardens are lit up with lots of lights under the backdrop of shadowy trees and plants, a talking tree and even fireworks.

The NightGarden 2019 will officially open on Nov. 15 and will run through Jan 11. Tickets range from $15 to $39.
