The Magic City is always bustling with life and color, so it’s only natural that it would offer an array of eats for all types of foodies.

Miami has been named the top vegan hot spot in the United States. The ranking comes from a study by Hayes & Jarvis, a U.K.-based travel company. In comparison, Dublin was awarded most veg-friendly in the world, with one-fifth of the Irish city’s restaurants offering vegan options. That’s a pretty close call, but still a great feat for Miami.

Hayes & Jarvis explored the 50 most visited cities in the world for its survey, analyzing TripAdvisor data to search for restaurants by cuisine and ratings. To be eligible for the final ranking, each city needed to contain a minimum of 500 restaurants. The study was conducted between July 30, 2019 and Aug. 1, 2019.

Miami alone boasts nearly a quarter of its eateries with at least one vegan option on the menu. Charleston, South Carolina, Scottsdale, Arizona, Savannah, Georgia, New York City, Washington, D.C., Orlando, New Orleans, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City make up the U.S. Top 10.

Some of Miami’s most notable vegan restaurants include Planta South Beach’s. The restaurant’s chef de cuisine, Benjamin Goldman, says the Magic City’s plant-based food scene is thriving.
