“Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland has announced that she will not be returning as the host of Love Island USA for the upcoming season due to a scheduling conflict. Hyland, who hosted the previous two seasons of the show for Peacock, shared the news on her Instagram stories.

In her post, Hyland expressed her disappointment at not being able to return to the island this summer and revealed that she has committed to an exciting project that conflicts with the shooting dates for Love Island USA. While she won’t be returning as the host, Hyland mentioned that she will still be watching and hopes to see lots of love on Peacock this upcoming season.

TMZ initially reported the rumor of Hyland’s departure and speculated that Vanderpump Rules star and Dancing With the Stars finalist Ariana Madix could be taking over as the new host. However, representatives for Madix have not yet confirmed this information.

Love Island USA, which originated from the hit UK dating show, began airing in 2019 on CBS before moving to Peacock for its fourth season. Hyland joined the show when it transitioned to streaming and hosted the last two seasons.

Hyland’s husband, Wells Adams, a regular in the Bachelor franchise, has also been involved in summer island dating shows as a host and bartender on multiple seasons of Bachelor in Paradise. However, there is no word yet on whether he will be returning to paradise this summer.
