It’s been decades since The Mickey Mouse Club ended. However, Keri Russell has kept her Disney friendships alive. The actress recently shared who she still meets from the show, and her fans have loved her honest and funny story.
During her visit to ‘Watch What Happens Live,’ Keri was asked if she’s still in touch with anyone from the ‘90s hit show. Without hesitation, she said, “I’ll tell you exactly who. One of my oldest friends, who still is one of my closest friends, Ilana Miller. And Lindsey Alley. We meet up for girls’ swanky dinners and numerous amounts of alcohol… like, drinks. We just met like two weeks ago.”
Keri said their girls’ nights are always full of laughs, deep talks, and funny memories from their younger days. “Someone always cries, and someone always tells a hilarious story,” she said. “It was all our 20s in New York, and ‘so-and-so hooked up with so-and-so,’ and some story always goes wrong. It’s the best.”
Keri joined ‘The All-New Mickey Mouse Club’ when she was just 15 and stayed until she was 17. The show also featured young stars who later became huge names like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Ryan Gosling.
Looking back, Keri often laughs at how talented her co-stars were. “I was literally the least talented one there,” she once said. “When I look at those kids, I’m like, why in the world did they pick me?”
Even after all these years, Keri proves that real friendships don’t fade. Her Mickey Mouse Club crew may have grown up. However, their bond is still as fun and strong as ever.
