Netflix Gives A Sneak Peek Of The Next ‘Game of Thrones’

Warning: there might be some spoiler alerts

Netflix is bringing its adaption of the hit video game “The Witcher” to the small screen, and as a way of giving fans a sneak peek, the streaming service shared a brief clip.

The first clip was shared back in October and showed “Justice League” star Henry Cavill as “Witcher” hero Geralt of Rivia. Recent production shots now give viewers a proper look at Geralt and his companions. Cavill stars alongside Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra in their first major roles.

“The Witcher” first gained popularity as a Polish book series published in the 1990s that follows the adventures of Geralt of Rivia, a traveling monster-hunter with magical powers. The book was later adapted into a video game series in 2007, launching the series in global fame.

The games became so popular that “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” won multiple Game of the Year awards in 2015 and have sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. Although no release date has been set as of yet, Netflix will share more information on the upcoming TV series at San Diego Comic-Con on July 19.

Aside from the first look, Netflix also released the first photos of the main characters of “The Witcher.”
