Ohio is home to an enormous warehouse that is a paradise for book lovers— Murphy’s Used Books and Media in the suburbs of Dayton is a hidden gem that carries thousands of used books.
Located in the suburb of Kettering, within the Wilmington Plaza Shopping Center, the 20,000 sq. ft. the family-owned and operated store is home to more than 200,000 books—and you can even bring in your own gently used books to sell.
While your mind may be going a mile a minute about what books to get, the best part about this book store is probably the price—most book prices are less than $5. The store also sells other media, including DVDs, CDs, video games, vinyl, audiobooks and more. Even those who would want a break from reading or are waiting on their friend to pick out a book can have some fun as the store provides board games for customers to enjoy.
