As Summer gives way to Fall, many things occur in the transition. Leaves start to change color, temperatures start to drop, and of course, culinary madmen flock to state fairs. Yessir, it’s state fair season. Rides to ride, games to play, contests to win, but really, who cares about any of that? No, the real draw is the food. At some unspecified point in history, a sort of unconscious consensus was reached by the people of the USA to dedicate state fairs to creating the most bizarre, horrifying, and delicious dishes the culinary dark arts can manage. What a time to be alive.
