Adidas To Debut Sneaker Collab With ‘Naruto’

Adidas features famous anime characters for the latest collaboration

Last year, Adidas launched a shoe line that was a collaboration and collection that centered around Dragon Ball Z. It’s now 2019 and the famous shoe brand is preparing to deliver another popular collaboration show line.

Adidas is set to team up with the beloved anime/manga “Naruto” to bring a new sneaker line to stores. Inspired by Sakura Haruno, first images of the shoe, shared by @solebyjc, displays the character’s signature pink hair and red outfit. The shoes themselves appear to be the new Boost-cushioned model.

For those who don’t know, Naruto is a Japanese manga series that was written and illustrated by Masahi Kishimoto. The story focuses on Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who searches for recognition from his peers and dreams of becoming the Hokage, or leader of his village.

The manga series was released in book form in 72 volumes. The manga was later adapted into an anime series, produced by Studio Pierrot and Aniplex, and ran from 2002 to 2007 for a total of 220 episodes. The English adaption of the Japanese anime aired on Cartoon Network from 2005 to 2009.
Naruto became so popular that it was also developed into 11 movies and 11 original video animations.
