The Korean entertainment industry has been experiencing a string of strange, sudden deaths.

Korean actor Cha In-ha, a member of SURPRISE U, has been found dead, according to local media reports in South Korea. He was 27.

The actor’s agency, Fantagio, issued a statement confirming his death, and said that a private funeral would be held. Police are currently investigating the death, and no details have been revealed.

Not too long ago, Cha (real name Lee Jae-ho) posted a moody picture of himself on Instagram, captioning the picture with “Everybody, watch out.”

Cha’s death is the third one in three months for a South Korean performer. In October, 25-year-old Sulli died, leaving behind a note that hinted at depression. And just last week, 27-year-old K-pop star Goo Hara, former member of girl group Kara, was found dead at her home in Seoul.

Cha was only in the South Korean entertainment scene for a couple of years as a member of SURPRISE U. He starred in dramas including “The Banker” and “Miss Independent Ji Eun 2.” His most recent appearance was in the MBC drama “Love With Flaws.”

The South Korean entertainment industry has been known to be grim despite its popularity and success. Idols, actors and other entertainers face a lot of pressure from demanding management and fans who actively use social media to criticize and support their favorite celebrities.
