The masked DJ is getting his own flavor of Coke.

Since the beginning of 2022, Coca-Cola has been releasing new limited-edition flavors under its Coca-Cola Creations branding. These strange, experimental flavors have included the “space-flavored” Starlight and the “pixel-flavored” Byte. Today, Coke has announced their next offering, and this time they’ve gotten some extra star power on board.

Coke’s next Creation flavor is Marshmello, though as the name may imply, it’s not marshmallow-flavored, but rather based on the tastes of prominent DJ and electronic musician Marshmello.

“For our third Coca-Cola Creations drop, we sought to add an unexpected remix of flavors to a great Coca-Cola taste,” Oana Vlad, Coke’s senior director of global strategy, said in a statement.

“We created a vibey blend of my favorite flavors in this all-new mix,” Marshmello said in a separate statement. “I think it tastes amazing and I hope fans love it too.”

The drink will come in both regular and zero-sugar varieties, and according to the can, is primarily flavored with watermelon and strawberry. The drink will be available in the United States starting July 11, with a global rollout to follow later in the summer.

This is the first time Coke has teamed up with a musical artist, and they have every intent of milking that partnership for all it’s worth. Starting July 9, the drink will be featured on Marshmello’s Twitch channel. Those who get a can will be able to scan a QR code starting July 25 that will lead them to a promotional site where, according to Coke, “AI technology will transform their emotions while listening to Marshmello’s latest track into a personalized piece of digital art.” How delightfully abstract.
