You’re a wizard! Prepare your wand for a duel!

“Harry Potter: Wizards Unite,” the new AR game from Pokémon Go developers Niantic, will begin rolling out its newest game around the world on Friday, according to an official tweet. The game had already launched in beta in Australia and New Zealand.

Niantic said that it may take some time for the game to go worldwide, but from the tweet, the launch will begin on June 21st officially. However, it is expected that Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will take some time to launch in countries like Japan.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will be similar to Pokémon Go in that instead of collecting Pokemon, wizards and muggles alike will be able to collect ‘fantastic beasts’ and other magical creatures. However, there is more mechanical complexity behind the game as there is a lot of depth and collectibles.

In anticipation for the release of the new AR game, Wizards Unite released a game trailer. Players will walk around a wizarding-themed version of the real world looking for locations to encounter “foundables.” Players will also be able to dispel, battle and earn reward items. Using the rewards items will allow players to level up in various professions, brew new potions. and battle alongside friends.
