The ‘90s Nickelodeon competition show is getting a reboot, and this time, it’s for adults!

Competing to form the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, adults will wear the iconic Blue Barracuda and Purple Parrot t-shirts as they participate in the show that will take them through the jungle and over all sorts of obstacles. The upcoming mobile-first streaming platform Quibi (dubbed “quick entertainment on the go”) is heading the reboot, and will bring back the all-knowing Olmec, the Moat Crossing challenge, the famous Temple Run and more.

“The entire set will be taken out of the studio, into a jungle, and scaled up with tougher challenges and bigger prizes on the line,” according to a press release.

Scott A. Stone, one of the original show’s creators, signed back on to be an executive producer for the reboot, and has expressed excitement on being “part of this defining millennial show.” Nickelodeon and Stone & Company Entertainment are also returning as producers for the show.

Gearing up for the first stream, Quibi will soon be casting contestants to compete on the show. Quibi is set to launch April 6, 2020.

The original Legends of the Hidden Temple aired on Nickelodeon from 1993-1999. The network later went on to debut a movie based on the show in 2016.
