The craze for “a galaxy far, far away” is getting bigger and bigger.

As the popularity of the Star Wars franchise keeps on growing, it’s safe to say that these more Star Wars shows will be produced for the new Disney streaming service, Disney+.

It has recently been reported though that a new Star Wars show is being produced, but it’s so secret that there are hardly any details available. However, it is known that the show will revolve around Doctor Aphra, a character who was introduced in Marvel’s Darth Vader comics. The character became so popular that she later went on to be developed into her own comic series.

Doctor Aphra is “a criminal archeologist working for the Dark Lord.” She severed ties with Vader, crossed paths with Han Solo and Luke Skywalker, and eventually went on to embark on her own adventures. Her storyline mostly stays within the classic trilogy era, but she still has the ability to cross over into the Mandalorian era.

If the rumors are true and this series is already in development, then most likely it will be released on Disney+ sometime in 2020. It has also been reported that Lucasfilm is developing a Rogue One prequel series that will follow the character Cassian Andor. Another series will focus on Obi-Wan Kenobi’s time on Tatooine.
