Amazon Reveals ‘Personal Shopper’

Seriously, just take all my money now, Jeff Bezos

Amazon has been the latest to join in on the personal shopping service trend. Introducing Personal Shopper by Amazon Prime Fashion—the easiest way to find all the must-have Amazon apparel items without sifting through thousands of products online. Similar to other shopping services, members create a profile detailing their style, size, and budget, and work with an online stylist to find items fit for their wardrobe.

Members receive a monthly box with up to eight items and only pay for those they wish to keep, with free returns for the discards. What makes Amazon’s service different is the ability to preview the items and communicate with a stylist to ensure at least something in your subscription box works out.

Whereas other services utilize their stylists 100%, Amazon will interact with the customers and give them a voice in their shopping experience. This design hopes to generate more sales instead of the company overspending on free shipping and returns.

And while Amazon may not be the first place you think of to find that perfect outfit, their selection of brands may say otherwise. According to their website, Personal Shopper will utilize brands such as “7 for All Mankind, Calvin Klein, Levi’s, AG Adriano Goldschmied, Rebecca Taylor, Champion, Adidas, Amazon Essentials, Daily Ritual, and much more,” to face-off against other services in the shopping-service industry.

Personal Shopper is available for any Amazon Prime member, and is starting off exclusively with women’s clothing, but has announced plans to venture into men’s styling as well. At just $4.99 a month for the service plus the cost of the items kept, shopping just got that much easier. And with that, Amazon can truly have every single dollar to my name.
