Adele Expresses True Feelings Towards Being Famous
During her “Weekends with Adele” residency concert in Las Vegas, the multi-Grammy-winning songstress, Adele, addressed two noteworthy topics: the origins of a widely shared NBA meme and rumors circulating about her lips.
In a fan-posted TikTok video, the singer revealed that she isn’t particularly fond of being in the spotlight, despite her global fame. Recounting an incident at an NBA game, she explained that her apparent upset expression, which later became a meme, was intentionally exaggerated.
Her mood was heightened by camera crews persistently filming her, despite her initial request not to be filmed. Adele clarified that her lips, which appeared plumper than usual, were not due to any cosmetic enhancements but were instead the result of a deliberate pout.
Away from the cameras, Adele’s residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, which began in November 2022 and has been extended twice, has seen her discussing personal experiences, including her son Angelo and a bout of jock itch she attributed to being immersed in her own sweat during performances.
During a recent show, Adele voiced support for Taylor Swift, calling out individuals who complained about Swift’s presence at Kansas City Chiefs games, as the singer is in a relationship with Chiefs’ owner Patrick Mahomes. Adele’s Las Vegas residency is set to conclude in June 2024.
