Pepsi Suggests Cola and Milk for the Holidays

Leave Santa a glass of “Pilk” on Christmas.

When you stick your head in the fridge in the wee hours and aren’t quite in your right mind, you may occasionally get the urge to mix whatever two beverages catch your eye. This is, at least usually, how one ends up with something like “Pilk,” a mixture of Pepsi cola and milk. For the holidays this year, though, Pepsi would like you to try Pilk at all hours of the day, not just 3:00 AM.

Pepsi launched a new hashtag campaign this week titled “#PilkandCookies,” suggesting that people enjoy a tall glass of Pepsi and milk for the Christmas season.

“Combining Pepsi and milk has long been a secret hack among Pepsi fans,” said Todd Kaplan, Pepsi’s chief marketing officer, in a statement about the campaign.

“With the rise of the ‘dirty soda’ trend on TikTok and throughout the country, we thought Pilk and Cookies would be a great way to unapologetically celebrate the holidays,” he added.

In addition to piggybacking off of TikTok trends, Pepsi is encouraging anyone who may be curious about Pilk, morbidly or otherwise, to give it a try and post it on Twitter. Those who follow Pepsi’s Twitter and post a hashtagged picture of themselves with a glass of Pilk and cookies will be entered to win a sweepstakes. 25 random users will be chosen to win a $1,000 pre-paid gift card. Even if the idea of Pepsi and milk repulses you, it may be worth trying anyway; after all, what’s some minor intestinal distress in the face of a grand?
