Another day, another chain facing closures.

Bath & Body Works stores across the country will close amid the coronavirus pandemic. L Brands will shut down a total of 50 stores, and the closures will largely take place in malls. The decision to close stores specifically in shopping malls comes from the continued social distancing measures, which impact the number of people going in and out of stores.

Despite the closures, Bath & Body Works is still doing well, even having a strong quarter, according to reports. Online sales increased and sanitizer product sales are expected to increase even more this year.

Currently, select Bath & Body Works locations are open, according to the retailer’s official website, but customers can still get their hands on a variety of deals online. For fans of the retailer’s scents and products, two single-wick candles are being sold for just $20, and the store’s summer-ready scents include: Endless Weekend, Mango Mai-Tai, Strawberry Poundcake, Sun-Drenched Linen, and Watermelon Lemonade.

The pandemic has significantly hurt the retail industry. While some businesses have cautiously started opening, stores like J. Crew, JCPenney, and Neiman Marcus have all filed for bankruptcy. Pier 1 is also going out of business and will shut down all stores.
