Brit Eady, a newcomer in The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has officially quit the show. She made it clear that she didn’t owe anyone any sort of explanation.

In an Instagram post, Eady wrote that she’s left the season to protect her mental health. “I decided to walk away from something that no longer serves me because I choose peace over destroying my mental,” she wrote.

Continuing, Eady added, “I don’t owe anyone closure, I only owe myself to do what’s best for me. My journey here is done.” With all the prevailing drama and public pressure this season, she said she wanted time and space to heal.

Here is Brit Eady’s full Instagram post:

“As I close this chapter, I want to thank everyone who supported me, my friends, my followers, my amazing team, and everyone who defended my name. I decided to walk away from something that no longer serves me because I choose peace over destroying my mental. It’s very easy to say what I should have done, when most have not walked a day in my shoes. I choose ME, and a lot of ppl can’t say they choose themselves. I still have a lot of healing left to do, but you can’t heal in the same place that made you sick. I don’t owe anyone closure, I only owe myself to do what’s best for me. My journey here is done.”

Her announcement of exit came right after the first part of the Season 16 reunion aired. She skipped this segment. Host Andy Cohen claimed that her absence called the season a “spicy” season. Cohen noted, “As you may have noticed, Brit Eady has decided not to join us today.”

Castmate Kelli Ferrell said, “She caused mass destruction within our friend group. And I think she does what she always does: She plays victim and villain at the same damn time.”

Another cast member, Drew Sidora, disclosed that she got a text from Brit Eady that legal action was coming against her about a blog that discussed one of the biggest scandals of the season, where Kenya Moore was accused of sharing private images of Eady as a form of “revenge porn.”

In June 2025, Brit Eady filed a legal $20 million complaint against Bravo Media, NBCUniversal, and many others (but not Kenya Moore). In her complaint, she stated that she was hurt by defamation, emotional stress, and an unsafe work environment. She also wrote in a complaint that she faced sexual harassment.
