Harry Potter: Death Eaters Rising is a cooperative card and dice game from USAopoly based on the fifth film in the franchise: “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.” Up to four players will need to join forces to stop the growing threat of Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters.
The game has not been released in stores yet, but fans of Harry Potter who those who are simply curious about the board game can pre-order. The game sells for $49.99 with shipping scheduled for September.
A Marvel version of the same game with Thanos as the villain is currently on sale at Walmart for $38.99.
As stated in the official description of the gameplay for Harry Potter: Death Eaters Rising, “teams of witches and wizards from the Order of the Phoenix, Dumbledore’s Army and Hogwarts to fight against the growing threat of the Dark Lord.”
Characters that can be played include the original gang: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger as well as other fan favorites: Minerva McGonagall, Albus Dumbledore, Tonks, Sirius Black, Ginny Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Alastor Moody, Mrs. Norris, Severus Snape and Rubeus Hagrid.
But that’s not the only Harry Potter game USAopoly has released. “Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle Defence Against The Dark Arts” is a game that is said to be “inspired” by Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle, and is a fast-paced, competitive deck-building game for two players.
