Will Keanu join the MCU?
Thanks to his box office hit franchise John Wick, Keanu Reeves has been having a very successful resurgence back into the spotlight. So, great in fact Marvel has taken notice and wants him in the MCU.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed that they have approached the 54-year-old actor multiple times in an effort to get him to join the MCU. An effort that is still currently in process.
“We talk to him for almost every film we make,” Feige told Comicbook.com. “I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.” Now that Marvel has wrapped up its Avengers franchise, there’s no word on what direction the MCU is about to go in.
However, sequels to Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and a standalone Black Widow film are all in the works. Other than films about characters pre-Avengers: Endgame, the only new MCU film that has been announced has been The Eternals which will star Angelina Jolie.
Fans are hoping that the rumors that Reeves will be joining the cast, but based on Feige’s comments that aren’t likely just yet.
