In case we haven’t seen enough PDA from the couple, they just gave us more of what we didn’t ask for
In a full-on shady moment to shut down the haters, “Senorita” singers and Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello brought a new definition to the meaning of the overly-PDA couple.
While rumors still swirl that the couple isn’t genuine in their relationship and it may just be for the PR and media attention, they managed to steer the conversation into a whole other uncomfortable topic with quite possibly the cringiest thing ever posted on Instagram.
Earlier in the week, internet trolls started discussing how the couple “kisses like fish” and apparently the seemingly pointless insult(?) triggered the “couple” enough to get a video response. Keep in mind, the entire summer of 2019 has been spent seeing Cabello and Mendes aggressively kissing all over the world, so speaking for myself at least, I didn’t need to see more. Mendes posted a video on his Instagram feed of the two, first addressing that they are aware of the fish comments and want to set the record straight on how their kissing really goes.
“We saw on Twitter and stuff you guys saying stuff about the way we were kissing, and how it looks weird like we kiss like fish. We just want to show you how we really kiss,” Mendes prefaced.
By that message, you’d think the couple was trying to end the conversation of their kissing. What they did instead started an entirely new conversation. The kiss was obviously a joke and to poke fun at the rumors, but also, entirely unsolicited, as the two are seen licking each other’s faces, sucking each-others cheeks, and looking like two overly-excited high school students.
However, one good thing did come out of it all…. The Twitter reactions.
